This week I am joining Charly (of www.podcastdove.com) for her brand new photography linky to try to get my creative juices bubbling again!
This image isn’t anything special but the memories attached to it definitely are so I am also linking up with Jaime (of The Oliver’s Madhouse) for her Magic Moments this week. Because this truly was.
…
We were at Glsatonbury 2010 and it was HOT.
The boy and I had just taken part in a pagan wedding in the Green Peace field with over 600 other people.
All of the hymns were Beatles songs.
It was perfect.
We decided not to see any bands at the main stages and spend the whole weekend meandering through fields and passageways, watching performance artists and sampling different food and drink.
We came across a tiny hotel and stepped through the doorway.
When we emerged the other side, we realised that we had come through a wardrobe.
This is what we found.
A pillow fight.
A 24 hour pillow fight.
It will probably always be the best weekend we’ve ever had.

July 22, 2013 - 3:13 pmThat is a SUPERB story! How amazing to come across this when you were just going on a meander. Brilliant and a great photo too. The #whatsthestory Linky was designed for posts like this. Thank you for joining in 🙂

July 22, 2013 - 3:37 pmThanks Charly!
It was the most surreal experience! It was either this or the performance artists that were pretending to be post-Apocalyptic travel agents…bashing keyboards and throwing computers because there was no internet or method or travel after “The Man” came into power…
Thanks so much for setting it up – great idea! 🙂

July 22, 2013 - 8:56 pmOh my god! That sounds amazing!!! Coming through the wardrobe! Like Narnia!

July 23, 2013 - 9:19 amEXACTLY like Narnia!
There was also a nightclub called the Rabbit Hole. You crawled through a tiny maze and answered riddles. Each one you got right pushed you further into the passageways until you emerged in an underground club from between someones legs!

July 26, 2013 - 9:46 amIt really was Fiona!
I’m so glad we decided to venture off the path and away from all of the main bands. We saw some incredible things and some really amazing music – like a full Steel Drum band from Trinidad and Tobago playing a minuscule chai tea cafe!
The kids fields were incredible too! So much for kiddies to do – I would massively recommend to anyone with little ones!
