The Decision… Help?

After six years of sharing a single bed (I know), keeping my clothes in my car boot and living with parents, the boy and I have finally decided to move out and start our first home together.

I’m terrified.

We’ve wanted to do it for about five years but with the country being the state that it is and the boy being self-employed we’ve never really had the finances to do so. But now we’ve made the decision, I feel as if there’s no turning back.

Trouble is…I have NO idea what I’m doing.

Fixed rate, tracker… it’s all a jumble in my head. Do I rent? Do I buy? Should I try and look at shared ownership? I really haven’t a clue.

But it feels… good. A bit like I’ve already set us free by making the decision.

If anyone has ANY advice, whether it’s the best (and cheapest) place to buy cutlery and cheese graters or the average cost of monthly bills (?), I would seriously appreciate it.

Seriously – I would REALLY appreciate it so I don’t end living in one of these
